Black work: in Acciaroli 5 commercial establishments identified with over twenty irregular employees, including restaurants, pizzerias and ice cream shops
In Acciaroli, in the Salerno area, during a service to combat undeclared work, the Guardia di Finanza and the Salerno Labor Inspectorate identified 5 commercial establishments, with over twenty irregular employees, including restaurants, pizzerias, and ice cream parlors in the well-known seaside resort. Out of approximately 50 job positions examined, 26 employees were found to be irregular, 11 of whom were employed completely 'under the table'.
Other disputes concerned the total lack of traceability of wages, as well as cases of secondments of workers of dubious authenticity and failure to deliver a copy of the contract to the worker.
In one of the premises, a camera was also found installed without the required authorizations from the Labor Inspectorate. Overall, the applicable administrative sanctions amount to approximately 35.000 euros, to which must be added the recovery of social security and insurance contributions for which the failure to pay was ascertained.
One of the restaurants, where the percentage of workers without a contract was found to be higher than 20 percent, was also ordered to temporarily suspend its activity.
