Maria Licciardi voleva andare in Spagna ma partendo da Roma e non da Napoli per essere sicura di non essere riconosciuta. Ma la “cautela” non le è servita.
In fact, this morning the Carabinieri of the ROS executed an arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples against Maria Licciardi, seriously suspected of being the current leader of the clan of the same name, based in the Secondigliano district of Naples – locality Cardone Farmhouse, with regional and extra-regional projections.
The woman is being investigated for mafia-type association, extortion, receiving stolen money and disrupting the regular conduct of a judicial auction, crimes aggravated by mafia-type methods.

Extortionate conduct has been recorded, including intervention during a judicial auction concerning the auction sale of some properties located in Secondigliano, and the threats made by Licciardi against a woman believed to be responsible for having stolen a large sum of money from the mafia family.
The investigation, carried out by the Anti-Crime Department of the ROS of Naples, made particularly difficult by the continuous clean-ups of the environments and vehicles used by the organization (aimed at avoiding the presence of interception devices), documented the widespread control of the territory, obtained thanks to the massive use of sentries, which allowed the woman to move away from the area in the event of an anomalous presence of police forces.

In this regard, it is noted that Maria Licciardi had become untraceable during the execution of precautionary measures in June 2019 (Operation Cartagena) following a complex and detailed investigation, directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples, also developed by the ROS in the direction of the so-called Secondigliano Alliance (the precautionary custody order against her was subsequently annulled).
The investigations confirm the operation of the Secondigliano Alliance – headed by the family“LICCIARDI”, To “CONTINI” and “BOSTI” of the neighborhoods Vasto-Arenaccia, as well as to "MALLARD" di Giugliano in Campania – which carries out its activities according to precise criminal strategies and the distribution of the proceeds of common illicit activities, which ensure the strengthening of internal cohesion, the expansion of the relationship of superiority with respect to other satellite consortiums and the consolidation of the dynamics of mutual solidarity with autonomous Camorra organisations, in any case linked to the Camorra cartel by solid and long-standing relationships.
