Lionel Messi is a new player of the Paris Saint-Germain. It's all true: the era of the Flea Barcelona it's over.
And the blue and grana fans believed in it until the end, even though the official nature of the farewell had already been known for days. The enthusiasm had been rekindled by a rumour from Spain arrived during the night, after Leo's failed departure for Paris: “They are preparing a new offer in extremis”, one could read on the Catalan portals.
News that has been confirmed, but apparently there was nothing that could be done: Messi had already given his word to PSG Neymar and his teammates and did not want to go back on his steps, especially after the tears and touching words said in the press conference. Club and player remained firm on the farewell they had given each other on August 4 and 5, in the summits that definitively ended the Argentine's experience in Spain after more than 21 years of career.

In the end, Messi went to the only club that could afford him: PSG. A club that, as is well known, has spared no expense in this transfer window: from Donnarumma to Hakimi passing through Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos. Many free agents, it's true, but astronomical salaries. In Paris Leo will sign a contract worth 35 million euros per year plus bonuses: a pretty good figure if compared, for example, to that earned by Cristiano Ronaldo (his long-time rival) to Juventus (around 31 per year).
Today, finally, was the decisive day. Leo left Barcelona, a city that has already begun to "erase" posters and billboards on the streets that depicted his image. Then the flight to Paris and the landing in the afternoon: the journalists who flocked to the French capital took the first photos of the Flea as a new PSG player, wearing the shirt “Here is Paris”, the team's motto. In the evening, then, medical visits and the signature on the contract: it will be shirt number 30, like the one worn in 2004, the day of his debut at the Camp Nou.
