Napoli will help' Rome in managing the waste crisis, receiving 4 tons of garbage per day from the Capital from October 31th to December 150st.
The mayor of Naples Luigi De Magistris announced it. “Today, as mayor of the metropolitan city of Naples, I have authorized Sapna, our entirely public company that manages all the waste treatment and disposal plants in the entire metropolitan area, to accept the request for help from Ama, the Rome company, to receive a quota of waste and avert an emergency in Lazio and the Capital,” explains De Magistris.
After having carried out all the technical checks by our managers, we are able from October 4th to December 31st, without any impact on the efficiency of waste treatment in our territories, which obviously have the absolute priority, to receive approximately 150 tons of waste from the Capital per day”.
The Councillor for Waste Management of the Lazio Region, Massimiliano Valeriani thanks the mayor of Naples Luigi De Magistris “for the attention shown towards the city of Rome. The availability – Valeriani declares – to accept 150 tons per day of waste produced in the Capital allows to offer Ama a further outlet for the treatment and disposal of urban waste.
Another important support obtained thanks to the commitment of the Zingaretti administration, which in these years – adds Valeriani – has never failed to provide its support to the Municipality of Rome to address the repeated crises in the management of waste in the capital”.
