Il Roma camp from via Mastellone to Barra It was evacuated on August 11th following a terrible fire, the exact circumstances of which have not yet been made known to the public. A gigantic fire, not the first to happen there. A camp where it was customary to light fires of all kinds for unspecified activities.

If in winter one could think of the need for heat to warm up in summer there was no explanation for the continuous fires lit. The fire of August 11th led to the evacuation of the large camp. After many hours of work the firefighters managed to put out the vast fire. However, after two weeks the camp continues to burn.

He documented everything George Contovas, an activist of the League on San Giorgio a Cremano who went to the site to document everything. The camp is something worse than a poorly managed landfill. Shacks everywhere full of dirty clothes piled on top of each other. Clothes, shoes, toys, food and detergents all mixed up everywhere among rats and cockroaches that walk around. There are also chickens and a large sheep. In the camp, burned cars and other abandoned ones, garbage everywhere, soil on garbage, toys, clothes, dishes scattered everywhere among garbage and rats.

What is most worrying, however, is the presence of a large crater. A crater that could not go unnoticed by Giorgio Contovas, a veteran of Afghanistan and a soldier in service. A crater caused by the explosion of something that was underground. Perhaps the explosion of this "something" caused the fire that, although declared extinguished, is still active. In fact, from the land adjacent to this crater, thick miasmas are exhaled from a fire still in progress in the part below the surface of the ground. Mountains of garbage of all kinds hidden under the ground.

“We need to understand what they buried and what is burning” emphasizes Giorgio Contovas who was in the camp yesterday to document and report the state of profound degradation and danger to the safety of the inhabitants who live in the areas facing the camp, forced to breathe acrid, unhealthy and unhealthy air. After documenting everything, Contovas also alerted the firefighters who declared that they were already aware of the problem and that they were monitoring the situation.

She also expressed her opinion on the facts Clear Lucid candidate for the next municipal elections in the Barra, Ponticelli, San Giovanni constituency for the civic list Prima Napoli: “For days, citizens have been experiencing unbearable stench. We couldn’t stand by and watch. We identified the location, went there and documented everything. Citizens’ health comes first and must be protected” .
