Naples, checks on illegal taxi drivers at Central Station

Napoli. The activity of the incessant Polfer against the phenomenon of illegal taxi drivers: very heavy fines and seizures in Naples Central Station.

Last weekend, officers from the Administrative Squad of the Naples Railway Police Department, using targeted surveillance services and viewing images from the video surveillance system, ascertained and contested several administrative violations, applying the relevant sanctions.

In particular, two unlicensed taxi drivers were caught while luring unsuspecting foreign tourists just out of the station and fined a total of 10.000,00 euros for various violations of the Highway Code; in addition, both had their vehicles seized for confiscation and their driving licenses withdrawn.
