Naples. A firefighter from the city detachment was killed by covid.

The victim was called Maurizio Femina, 46 years old and also a marathon runner. He had been hospitalized for some time.

“Last night he lost the hardest battle, against COVID19. To his family and to the firefighters of the Naples command, the condolences of the head of the Lega Department and the head of the Corps Parisi”, we read on the body's Twitter profile accompanied by a smiling photo of Maurizio Femina.

His colleague Vincenzo instead he writes: “I am thinking that life often presents us with stupid surprises… I had the pleasure of knowing you and working alongside you, your education and your sympathy have always distinguished you… For a few days the anxiety had subsided a bit because we thought you would improve and then instead it ended… You were put to the test for a long time you held on. Maurizio you leave a notable void, now watch over your family and rest in peace. Goodbye Maurizio Femina”.
