Since 2012 she has had no rivals on the platform. She, who comes from volleyball, one day decides to try all the disciplines of athletics. Throws, also because of her height, are the ones she does best. In her sporting journey she meets many important people: “Starting with my family, who always left me free to make my own choices, but also all the coaches I’ve had from the beginning until today.”

About his sport - as reported by Dire - he loves the fact of being part of a team, even if it is a discipline that is practiced on an individual level: “I like being with others, I like the effort at the end of each training session”. Sources of inspiration? None in particular: “I always try to do better for myself.”

If he hadn't been an athlete, his biggest dream would have been the same as his father's: "I would have liked to become a carabiniere". His best sporting moment so far dates back to the 2012 London Games: "That gold represented the beginning of a rebirth for me".

“I tried until the end, it was close… Anyway, the European record arrived and I finally did 40 meters in the race: she had to do the world record to beat me (her Chinese rival, gold in today's race, Zhang Liangmin, ed.), it's the only thing that makes me more serene. I did the discus in three Paralympics: eighth in London, fourth in Rio and here at least I played for the gold. It went like this, but it's okay”.

We are a united group and from here to the end we will do great things", commented the Italian. In the meantime, next year she will participate in the World Championship in the discus: “I already won it in Dubai, it will be a great challenge to take back the title and also the world record, because at this point I believe: we are there”.
