Naples. To call it shameful is an understatement: but the postman that throws into the trash the mail, including important communications, instead of delivering it is really unacceptable.
It is known that paper should be disposed of in the appropriate containers for separate waste collection, it is a good rule to respect the environment. However, if that same paper is printed with correspondence (fines, taxes, bills, communications) then it should first be delivered to the intended recipients.
However, a Neapolitan postman who was caught by some shopkeepers and entrepreneurs, through the images of video surveillance systems and smartphones, does not seem to be of this opinion. Piazza Giovanni Bovio (better known as Piazza Borsa) to get rid of letters for citizens and shopkeepers by throwing them in the recycling bins.
Those entrepreneurs, who are aimed at Regional Councilor of Green Europe Francesco Emilio Borrelli, they have demonstrated through a video that they have actually found all the correspondence thrown away in the rubbish.
“We had noticed this for a while and so we decided to monitor and record his moves. We recovered the mail in the recycling bins, it's bills, taxes to pay, important communications, which if not delivered to their destination represent a damage for citizens and traders. So we filed a complaint and also delivered the videos to the police. We await the results of this investigation.” – explain the whistleblowers.

"We have also filed a complaint and asked Poste Italiane to start an internal investigation to clarify the issue and understand whether throwing away the mail was a practice adopted for some time by the postman in question or perhaps by other employees. If the accusations were to be confirmed, we will ask that the individual be reported and fired. Civic control is now one of the means to combat mismanagement and illegality in our territories "– the Councilor expressed himself thus Borrelli.
