Naples, used clothing collector used as a garbage bin for food scraps on the seafront

Napoli. “This is the used clothing bin on Via Nazario Sauro where I went this morning to drop off a bag full of clothes. Obviously I had to look for another bin because that one is used for everything except clothes…” - is a report sent by a citizen to the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.

The used clothing collector in question, installed on the Naples seafront at the height of Via Nazario Sauro, was used (obviously by uncivilized and disrespectful people) as a garbage bin where pizza boxes, food scraps, bottles and plastic were thrown away.

“A gesture of great incivility that also detonates how little respect and sensitivity there is for the less fortunate people and families. It is easy to show solidarity when dealing with dramatic stories read in the newspapers, but when you come across it in everyday life, this sense of solidarity goes to hell.

We continue to say that we need a civic re-education plan, there is too much of a lack of it, people must understand that we must respect the common good, the territory and our neighbors otherwise things will only get worse.”– were the words of the Councilor Borrelli and of the municipal councilor of Green Europe Gianni Caselli.
