Napoli. Last night, during their territorial control service, officers from the General Prevention Office were approached by some young men who had witnessed a robbery while passing through Piazza Garibaldi and reported that the victim was chasing the criminal.
The police, shortly after, in via Bologna saw a man and a young man who were arguing heatedly and checked them; in those moments one of them tried to escape and, with no small difficulty, was stopped and found in possession of a cell phone, stolen from the young man, and 20 euros that the victim had given to obtain its return.
George Ekoh, a 47-year-old Nigerian illegally residing in the country, was arrested for attempted improper robbery, extortion, resisting a public official and reported for illegal entry and residence in the country.
