Calvi Risorta. A marijuana plantation with over 100 plants seized by the Guardia di Finanza of Caserta: a 60-year-old from Giugliano arrested

The plantation, with a market value of over 100 thousand euros, was equipped with an ingenious and complex self-irrigation system.

The Financiers of the Capua Company and the Green Berets of the Aversa Emergency Response Company, assisted by canine units, have seized an entire plantation of "cannabis indica" in the countryside of Calvi Risorta, consisting of 106 plants ranging in height from one to three meters, managed by GS, a 60-year-old agricultural entrepreneur originally from Giugliano in Campania, arrested for the crime of production and trafficking of narcotic substances.
For some time now, the financial police, through targeted stakeout and observation services, had been keeping an eye on the agricultural entrepreneur, known as a fruit tree grower.
At dawn yesterday the blitz began in the Masseria Caparco area, where 56 plants of "cannabis indica" were found, varying in height from one to two meters, hidden by thick vegetation formed by trees and broad-leaved plants, to evade possible police checks carried out by air. Subsequently, along a slope accessible only by using climbing ropes, another 50 cannabis plants were found, each about three meters tall.
The plantation, cultivated on land owned by the GS himself, where fertilizers and tools used for cultivation were also found, was equipped with an ingenious and complex self-irrigation system.
The 60-year-old, caught by the financial police while watering the plants, was arrested red-handed and transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
The cannabis plants, uprooted from the ground, were seized pending chemical analysis to determine the percentage of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) they contain.
The narcotic product, once dried and appropriately processed, would have brought in over 100 thousand euros if placed on the market.
