The 'Premio Vigna Bio' dedicated to organic and biodynamic wines

Il Living Museum of the Mediterranean Diet, organizes within the Mediterranean Diet Festival, the "VI Tasting Review of Organic and Biodynamic Wines from Campania".

A way to learn about and encourage Campania wineries to continuously improve the quality of their products. The award will give rise to a Regional Guide to Campania's organic and biodynamic wines, which will be published by December 2021.

During the two evenings, competing wines can be tasted at tasting stands in the small square of Palazzo Vinciprova, accompanied by food stands of typical Cilento products and local dishes, curated by Terra Cilento.

Over 20 organic and biodynamic wineries participated in the exhibition and Vigna Bio Award and who will be present at the tasting stands of the event "Terroir – The Wine-Colored Sea” scheduled at the Palazzo Vinciprova di Poplars in the days 27 e 28 August 2021. During the evening of August 28, the winner of each category will be announced and awarded.

Legambiente will also award a special prize for the “Mediterranean Diet Wine”. An award that important organic wine companies from Campania boast, from Venditti and Cautiero from Benevento to Sorrentino from Vesuvia, from San Salvatore 1988, Maffini, Case Bianche from Cilento to Mila Vuolo and Vigne di Raito from Salerno, the latter winners in 2020.

Only organic and biodynamic wines certified by an authorized control body, produced by companies with vineyards, production and registered office in Campania were admitted to the selection. The wines participating in the selection are divided into categories: white, rosé, red and young red. A commission specifically made up of oenologists, industry experts, sommeliers and consumers will select the wines received, thus decreeing the 2021 winner.

Il 27 e August 28th there will be two evenings of guided tasting with limited places available upon reservation.

Il August 27th at 19,30 pm the tasting will be dedicated toorganic extra virgin olive oil curated by Slow Food Campania and followed by the theatrical show “Salute!” by Solot – Permanent Company of Benevento.

Il August 28th at 20.30 pm the tasting will concern the Organic Fiano in Campania, between diversity and commonalities curated by Scuola Europea Sommelier and followed by the concert by Piera Lombardi & Cilento's Friends.
