A car and a truck were hit by stones thrown from the field between Qualiano and Giugliano

Qualiano. At dawn on Sunday 22 August near Qualiano a driver risked losing control of his car and being injured by stones thrown from the nearby field that destroyed the windshield of the vehicle, located precisely between Qualiano and Giugliano.

The driver himself reported the incident and contacted the Regional Councillor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli:

“It was 5 o’clock while I was walking along the road outside the camp between Qualiano and Giugliano. Stones were thrown at my car and 5 minutes before at a truck from Multiservizi di Parete. Luckily it didn’t hit us from the side window or it would have hit me in the head. After the incident I immediately called the police and when I got back from work I filed a complaint at the Varcaturo barracks. Who knows how many others they did it to, but we were in big trouble anyway.”

"We have asked for strict checks to be carried out at this camp to verify the matter, there will certainly have to be complaints and someone will have to be arrested. This story could have ended really badly. Regardless of the episode, a solution is needed that is not temporary, that is not just a patch, a definite resolution is needed which can only be that of clearing and dismantling all these camps, receptacles of illegality, crime and degradation.

Once this is done, a serious program of social reintegration is needed, while those who want to continue living on the margins of society, not respecting its rules and laws, must be severely punished. We need zero tolerance and certainty of punishment for certain criminals who do not hesitate to put human life at risk.”– Borrelli’s words.
