Capaccio Paestum. 'I dream or I'm awake' Massimo Ranieri returns to the Temples of Paestum after 5 years.

5 years after the last standing ovation in the shadow of the Temples, next Saturday 14 August Massimo Ranieri returns to the Archaeological Area of ​​Paestum, “in that beautiful and ancient place” as he himself likes to define it, with his acclaimed show “I dream and I am awake".

In the rediscovered location of the Arena dei Templi (renamed Clouds, home of the MaCo Festival) in via Magna Grecia in Capaccio Paestum, after the long forced stop due to the pandemic, the artist will finally be able to celebrate from the stage also with the Salerno audience his first seventy years spent as a great protagonist of the Italian artistic scene, between music, cinema and theater.

From the first anecdotes of his early career to the huge successes that have consecrated him on the Italian scene, Ranieri will retrace his artistic and human history in a unique recital in which songs, poems, funny sketches and anecdotes flow linked to a double thread: the masterful interpretation of the protagonist and the narration dedicated to the courage of the last, to the stories of love and hope that praise life.

In a succession of emotions, in the triple role of singer, actor and narrator, Ranieri will perform the timeless songs of his repertoire and of the great Neapolitan tradition, tributes to the great dreamers and the classics of Italian songwriting, transporting the audience into a unique, light and sophisticated, overwhelming and moving show that never ceases to enchant and conquer audiences throughout Italy.

Between cult interpretations and unpublished stories, in the renewed version of his highly acclaimed show "I dream and I am awake" they also find space the gems of his latest new album “Qui e adesso”, produced and arranged by Gino Vannelli, which collects unreleased and previously unreleased songs, finally paying homage to some of the artist's gems published in the 70s, including the exciting single “My reason".

The Orchestra will accompany him formed by Flavio Mazzocchi (piano), Andrea Pistilli (guitar), Pierpaolo Ranieri (bass), Marco Rovinelli (drums), Donato Sensini (wind instruments).

The events organized by Anni 60 Produzioni will continue Tuesday August 17 at the Amphitheatre of the Tourist Port of Maiori where is expected Gianna Nannini with its tour “Piano forte and Gianna Nannini – The Difference”, while Thursday August 19 will be Fiorella Mannoia to make a stop at the Arena dei Templi of Paestum with the “Masters of Nothing tour”.
