The sixth edition of the “Taurasi Film Fest”, the prestigious film festival organized by the cultural association “Taurasium”, chaired by Alberico Cardia.
In the suggestive architectural setting of the Cloister of San Domenico, inside the Town Hall, the 2021 edition of the competition of short films, documentaries and video clips will take place, once again this year coming from all over the national territory.
The film festival, which benefits from the patronage of the Municipality of Taurasi, led by the mayor Antonio Tranfaglia, will take place Friday 27 e Saturday August 28, starting at 20.00 pm, in full compliance with the anti-covid measures required for public events.
The evening of 27 August, will be dedicated to the memory of the Irpinia director Giambattista Assanti, who died prematurely, and the Taurasium Association wanted to establish a film award that bears his name, also in consideration of the Taurasine origins of his family.
The festival will get into full swing on the day August 28th with the awarding of the two categories foreseen in the competition: the best short film will win the coveted statuette of the "Golden Taurasino”, while the winner of the “Taurasi Videoclip Contest” will be awarded an artistic plaque.
Other special prizes will then be awarded, such as the one for best direction and best soundtrack, the critics' award and the trophy "I love Taurasi”. The competing productions will be judged by a composite jury made up of industry professionals and illustrious representatives from the world of culture, music, art, journalism and sport, including: Francesco Santosuosso, Marciano Santosuosso, Antonio Preziosi, Antonio Sarno, Davide Iannuzzo, Michele Melchionda, Claudia D'Ambrosio, Alessandro Palermo, Antonio Panzone, Vanna Morgante, Carlo Tuzio, Carmine Clericuzio.
