The two-day event ends with public and critical success Arbostella Theatre in the demonstration "Summer at Mercatello Park”, a container of events organized from August to September by the municipality of Salerno in the eastern area of the capital.
Sunday August 29st it was the turn of the Neapolitan company Zero eighty one, with a classic and entertaining text by Gaetano di Maio “The Dead Man is in good health”, to cheer up the large crowd that came despite a particular evening for the city of Salerno which saw the debut of its team in Serie A at the Arechi.
Many at the entrance gates of the Arena Mercatello on an evening, among other things, typically autumnal, lashed by strong winds. But despite this, the audience was "warmed" by the jokes and comic situations of Felice Pace and Company that drew applause and consensus. The evening was initially spiced up by a musical moment with a couple of songs given to the audience by the Neapolitan singer Mario Conte, a well-known face on Real Time and Mia Event and interpreter of Massimo Ranieri's songs.
But also Monday August 30, sold-out at the Arena with almost 500 people present on a cool evening but fortunately less biting than the previous one. Ancient Italian Salerno Company gave the audience two hours of smiles and lightheartedness with a modern text by Gaetano Troiano entitled “But what a beautiful family!”. Troiano and his group have addressed, in a subtle and light way, some current and delicate issues such as homosexuality and discrimination.
Satisfied the managers of the Arbostella Theatre, the President Immaculate Caracciuolo and the organizer Arturo Esposito (son of the late Gino, dean director and artistic director of Salerno): “Two evenings that made us embrace our audience again, who had been missing for a year of stoppage due to the pandemic” – they both declared in unison. “The remarkable turnout of these two evenings has shown that people want to return to live, to meet, to laugh and have fun with the theater. It was not easy, also because of the new online bookings and the obligation of a green pass. But all these obstacles have been bypassed. Many people love the theater and our audience loves the Arbostella. And we wanted to give them two evenings with free admission by investing resources even if in a delicate moment. The goal - the organizers continued - is to see each other again in the winter in our Theater that we are making more beautiful with restyling works, ready, hopefully, at the end of November to then launch a program from December to May always in the name of Gino Esposito".
