Torre Annunziata. Operation "High Impact" in high-risk neighborhoods: the Guardia di Finanza's "green berets" monitor hundreds of people.
The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples has planned in the last few days, by order of the Prefect of Naples Marco Valentini, after consulting the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, several “High Impact” operations in the districts with the highest crime density of the city of Torre Annunziata.
The checks concerned in particular the Penniniello district, the central area, Piazza Sant'Alfonso, Piazza Imbriani, the port area, via Terragneta (ex Deriver area), the southern area and the Poverelli district.
In particular, the “Baschi Verdi” of the Torre Annunziata Group, supported by colleagues from the Pronto Impiego Group of Naples, have performed in the last week 860 checks to vehicles and people: 31 illegal situations detected, including reports to the Judicial Authority and notifications to the Prefecture, for weapons, drugs and violations of the Highway Code.
Several dozen grams of cocaine, hashish and marijuana were seized; during the search, a toy gun was also seized from which the red safety cap had been removed, hidden under the spare wheel in an abandoned car wreck.
The interventions are part of the constant activity of general prevention and economic control of the territory carried out by the Neapolitan Fiamme Gialle, also in synergy with the other Police Forces, in order to counter widespread illegality in the Torre Annunziata area, which remains the object of maximum attention by the Government Authority and the Police Forces.
