The 'Spiga D'Argento' Award to Antonella Napoli

The prize "Silver Ear Fidapa Bpw Italy” for culture, cooperation, solidarity, friendship and peace between peoples, a national and international recognition, now in its 11th edition and dedicated this year to Luke Attanasio, the Italian ambassador killed in Congo on February 22, was awarded to the journalist and writer Antonella Napoli.

The award ceremony will take place on September 9th at the Palazzo di Città in Battipaglia, in the province of Salerno, where one of the 300 sections of the prestigious association is located, distributed throughout the country, among the most significant.

The event will take place in two moments: the placing of the plaque at the fountain of Human Rights and Peace Park in street Ilaria Alpi, dedicated to Luke Attanasio, Victor Iacovacci, Mustapha Milambo, martyrs for human rights, and will conclude with the award ceremony for the director of Focus On Africa at 11 am in the Municipal Hall in Piazza Aldo Moro. The ambassador's widow will be present at the ceremony, Zakia Seddiki, in one of her first public appearances since the killing of her husband.
