Thursday September 30st, at 19 pm, the documentary exhibition “Archaeology Revealed: Research, Creativity and Participation”, a choral initiative of the Terra di Lavoro Museum System, in the six locations of the member museums: the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caserta, the Civic Museum of Maddaloni, the Civic Museum “Raffaele Marrocco” of Piedimonte Matese, the Museum of Rural Civilization of San Nicola La Strada, the Historical Memory Park of San Pietro Infine, the Michelangelo Museum of Caserta.
The Exhibition will consist of a total of 48 different panels, 8 of which will be exhibited in each of the museum locations. The panels present images and descriptions of archaeological research and excavations that are completely new or carried out in the past.
In particular at the Teatro Comunale “Constantine Parravano”, the Caserta section of the exhibition will be inaugurated, curated by MAC3, the leading museum of the Museum System. The exhibition focuses on archaeological finds present in the city and in particular inside the Royal Palace of Caserta, sources of knowledge of a past that until now has been the preserve of specialists. The aim is, in this way, to offer citizens a new image of the city and in particular of the Royal Palace, aiming to discover not only the historical-architectural, but also archaeological value of these places.
The exhibition will remain on display until December, and can be visited, in addition to the days when the theatre is open for shows, at the following times: Mon.-Fri. 9.00-13.00
