The music of cafeteria in the movie "On the carousel" directed by Georgia Cecere, with Claudia Gerini e Lucia Sardinian, in the hall from September 30th.

Cafiero, capable of influencing the musical panorama with his own poetics and his Suck my Blues, had the privilege of donating four songs to the new film by the director from Salento.

Giorgia Cecere declared: “I was looking for a music that would characterize Gianni, a beautiful character in the film; that would be hard like hard rock and yet in a certain sense sentimental… I looked for it, looked for it, looked for it and then I remembered that I had already heard it! It was Salvatore Cafiero's music”.

A great satisfaction for the singer-songwriter and musician who said: “I am honored to have taken part in this film with two published songs, “Maledirò” (2017) and “Ti guardo ancora un po'” (2020), and two unpublished songs “Arid” and “Mirror”, written in collaboration with Gianni Montanaro and produced with Suck my Blues (an English-language project parallel to her solo career). The relationship between music and cinema is something deeper than a simple combination of sound and images. Music is an expressive and narrative element of a film; it has the power to create the most appropriate atmospheres and to strengthen the audience's identification with the characters' emotions. I joined Giorgia Cecere's project with enthusiasm; “Sulla giostra” tells a story that seems to be very close to the director, based on the acceptance of one's destiny and that “carousel” called life".

Irene (Claudia Gerini) is a beautiful and successful woman who, after her studies, abandoned the Salento countryside to move to the capital, where she started a production company. A life always in a hurry, between a lot of work, a teenage son and an absent ex-husband, Filippo (Paolo Sassanelli), until, in a moment of economic difficulty, she is forced to return to that village that has always been too small for her and to confront a past and an archaic dimension that no longer belongs to her.

It won't be easy for Irene to return to take possession of the family villa, because the elderly housekeeper without a husband and children, Ada (Lucia Sardo), refuses to leave what she feels is her home after years of care and work. Irene's life will also be revolutionized by the meeting with Gianni (Alessio Vassallo), a real estate agent who takes care of the sale of the house and a simple man who appreciates the little things in life and who will lead Irene to recover the sense of her roots with the light tone of irony.
