Camorra. The North Naples Court acquitted the entrepreneurs of the charge of external involvement in mafia association, "because the fact did not exist." Aniello and Raffaele Cesaro, brothers of the senator Louis Cesaro, defended by the lawyer Vincenzo Maiello.

Aniello Cesaro He was sentenced to six years for forgery. "The two entrepreneurs were subjected to four years of precautionary measures, the first two of which were spent in prison," recalls Professor Maiello, who adds: We note, with great satisfaction, that the Court of North Naples has certified that such a serious accusation, which has caused so much personal, family, and economic-business suffering to my clients, is contrary to the facts.

We must recognize that the Court issued a decision with complete autonomy and independent judgment, despite a media campaign that had emphatically reported the story from the beginning, fueling a strong and widespread prejudice against the defendants."

Referring to Aniello Cesaro's conviction for forgery, Maiello said he "confides in an acquittal on appeal." The panel of judges (composed of presiding judge Francesco Chiaromonte and judges Marina Napolitano and Luca Rossetti) also decided not to proceed against the two entrepreneurs due to the statute of limitations for certain violations.

The Court of North Naples also sentenced the entrepreneur from Marano, Anthony of Guida (7 years in prison) and the technician Oliviero (10 years in prison). Finally, the defendants Salvatore Polverino and Antonio Visconti were acquitted. At the end of the closing arguments, in the trial regarding the plan for the Marano di Napoli production sites, the DDA (deputy prosecutors Mariella Di Mauro and Giuseppe Visone) requested 12 years in prison for Aniello and 8 years and 6 months for Raffaele Cesaro; 8 years for the builder Antonio Di Guida, and 8 years for the engineer Oliver Giannella 12 years, for Salvatore Polverino 4 years and 8 months and for Antonio Visconti 3 years and 4 months.
