The perpetrators, two young Neapolitans aged 18 and 19, showed up at the victim's home and, boasting of the son's state of need, made the elderly woman hand over the above-mentioned objects and money, fleeing.
The Carabinieri of the local Arma command, alerted, started looking for the scammers who were immediately identified, blocked and arrested.
The stolen goods were recovered and returned to the rightful owner. The arrested were transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
