Casal di Principe, money and drugs: Nigerian couple arrested

Casal di Principe. The Carabinieri of Casal di Principe yesterday evening arrested, in flagrante delicto of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics, two Nigerian citizens, a 48-year-old woman, AN and a 45-year-old man, ER, legal on the national territory. The military of the Arma, during a search carried out at the home, located in via Circumvallazione, seized 54 grams of marijuana, divided into 30 doses.

Also found and seized were more than 900 euros in small denomination banknotes. When the carabinieri raided the house, they found two compatriots of the arrested, who had just purchased drugs and who were therefore reported to the competent authorities.

The house in question, owned by an Italian citizen from Casal di Principe, had been regularly rented to a Nigerian citizen who had been untraceable for some time and who, for months now, had allowed other compatriots to occupy and use the building illegally, without paying the monthly rent.

The Carabinieri, by order of the Judicial Authority, proceeded to formally deliver the keys of the house to the legitimate owner. The arrested were transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.

In the same building, last August, the Carabinieri of the Operative and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Casal di Principe Company had proceeded to arrest three other Nigerian citizens on suspicion of crime, responsible for the crimes of aggravated robbery and kidnapping of one of their fellow countrymen.
