The vaccines will be administered at the Vaccination Center of the "Dr. Anastasia Guerriero" Hospital in Marcianise, with the assistance of vaccinating physicians and gynecological specialists. This decision comes the day after the death of 28-year-old new mother Palma Reale and following the invitation from Campania Regional President Vincenzo De Luca to all pregnant women to be vaccinated.
"Thanks to the collaboration of the company health centers," the Caserta Local Health Authority, headed by Ferdinando Russo , reports, " expecting women will find a dedicated vaccination line and medical and obstetric staff to assist them. Access is free, with no reservation required; all you need to do is bring your health card."
Meanwhile, the investigation into the death of the new Santa Maria Capua Vetere resident, who was hospitalized on August 29th, is continuing. Doctors delivered her son by cesarean section at 35 weeks. The baby is doing well. In recent weeks, neonatologists, pediatricians, and gynecologists have urged the Ministry of Health to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination of pregnant and breastfeeding women and children over 12, stating that there are "serious risks for these groups as well ." The specialist associations emphasize that mRNA vaccines are "absolutely safe for both pregnant and breastfeeding women."
