Caserta, 82-year-old man falls from balcony while hanging out laundry

Caserta. A tragedy unfolded before the eyes of some passers-by and neighbors.

Vittorio Vinciguerra, former usher of the office of the Justice of the Peace of Arienzo, died instantly after falling several meters. Yesterday morning, he fell from the balcony of his apartment located on the third floor of the Pine Park along the Appia National, Caserta.

The 82-year-old, who lived with his wife who had been bedridden for years, was seen hanging out the laundry a few minutes earlier. Some neighbors arrived on the scene to help him, but there was nothing they could do: he died immediately. Shortly after, the local police station was alerted, and when they arrived on the scene, they carried out all the investigations to understand the dynamics and the cause.

At first, the most plausible hypothesis seemed to be that of an extreme gesture, then as the hours passed some witnesses declared to the military that the man was chatting with a person on the balcony next to his when he fell into the void.
