Castel Volturno. Yesterday, an order was executed for the application of precautionary custody in prison against BD, aged 43, seriously suspected of the crimes of extortion, aggravated, continued, committed until the recent past to the detriment of his mother, over sixty-five years old.
The investigations, carried out by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of S. Maria CV with the assistance of the military of the Castel Volturno Carabinieri Station Command, originated from the complaint filed by the woman, who, after having suffered continuous extortion by her son, finally decided to report the periodic extortions of money of which she was a victim, in a domestic context.
Following the complaint, the detailed investigations carried out – through the collection of relevant information – allowed for the rapid delineation of a evidentiary platform demonstrating the existence of the reported facts, which were subsequently contested in the request for the application of the custodial measure.
The man, who was to be considered innocent until a final decision of conviction was made, after his capture, was then taken to the Santa Maria Capuà Vetere prison to remain at the disposal of the AG.
