Castellammare. In the border area between Pompeii and Castellammare a new private institute opens in the Ponte Persica neighborhood “International Montessori Institute” inaugurated in recent days. A school closed for years, which will now welcome students of all ages. The school offering of the “Montessori Institute” ranges from nursery school to post-diploma specialization with language courses from childhood to adulthood.
Dr. Stefania Del Gaudio and Professor Enzo Iaccarino have invested in this project by launching an educational challenge according to Montessori pedagogy, on a difficult territory.
“We had many obstacles in the realization of this ambitious project – says Dr. Stefania Del Gaudio – but we transformed them into opportunities”
The two partners, two different people with two different backgrounds but with a common interest: to relaunch the Stabia and Pompeii area with alternative proposals, confident in welcoming families and especially young people.
“We strongly believe in the potential of this territory,” continues Dr. Del Gaudio, “we like it and we want to see our children evolve and emerge here, following Maria Montessori’s principles for a better future.”
The institute currently hosts a nursery school, “the children's house”, and a complete secondary school program with a final diploma in computer science, but other study paths are also evolving.
