Chefs, producers and show business personalities united for “Dining under a Different Sky".
Food, in addition to being a necessity, is one of life's great pleasures. It gives us the chance to lose ourselves in flavors, to explore different cultures, to give vent to creativity in the kitchen. For us Italians, food means conviviality: what's better than a delicious meal shared with the people we love? The role of food becomes even more fundamental when it is connected to charitable initiatives.
Thus, to support sick children and disabled people, subjects who have always needed a lot of attention and who in this particular moment we are experiencing need even more support, the association "Between sky and sea” has called together 190 chefs and producers – Italian and non-Italian – who have joined forces to organize a large charity event that will take place Monday 13 September at Villa Alma Plena (Casagiove, CE).
Through the thirteenth edition of “Dining under a Different Sky” chefs, wineries and companies have decided to collaborate for a single goal: to restore hope and give a smile to sick and disabled children. Some of the chefs and producers were recommended by Slow Food (Alliance of Chefs of Campania), while some of the wines and their pairings with the dishes were organized by AIS Caserta. The resident chef of Villa Alma Plena, Salvatore Spuzzo, also provided great support to the organization: he was responsible for calling together the chefs from beyond the Alps.
An evening in the name of restart and solidarity, and also an opportunity to tell and promote the territory: there will be tasting stands, with tastings of wine, local products and dishes prepared by chefs. Between glasses and gastronomic specialties, there will also be (ample) space for entertainment: in fact, the testimonials of the event are Ciro Torlo, Gerardo Stanco and Giuseppe Moscarella, former "Mister Italia" and actors, while the godmother will be the actress, author and director Mary Bolignano.
The actors Cosimo Alberti, Giovanni Caso and Giovanni Rienzo, the singer Gennaro De Crescenzo, the singer Ida Rendano, the singer-songwriters Luigi Libra and Michele Selillo, the comedian Massimiliano Cimino, the cabaret artist Stefano De Clemente, and many other characters from the world of music, theatre, cinema and TV.
