Checks in the Aversa “movida”: a gun and drugs found

AversaDuring territorial control operations aimed at preventing and repressing traffic violations, containing and controlling nightlife, and combating predatory and property crimes, which have concentrated in the Municipality of Aversa and surrounding areas over the past week, the local Carabinieri Company, through the deployment of personnel from the Operational and Radiomobile Unit, the dependent Carabinieri Stations, and crews from the SIO of the 10th Campania Carabinieri Regiment, achieved the following results:

– 1 pistol and 32 rounds of 7.65 caliber seized;
– 0.55 grams of narcotic substance (marijuana) seized;
– 1 switchblade seized;
– 79 various types of violations of the Highway Code (lack of insurance coverage, driving without a license or driving with a license of a different category, driving without a helmet and without a seat belt);
– 689 people checked;
– 480 vehicles checked;
– 6 reports at large;
– 1 report pursuant to art. 75 DPR 309/90.

It is underlined that the knife was seized as part of an extraordinary control service of the territory followed by targeted searches by the soldiers of the Aversa Company together with personnel from the Carabinieri Dog Unit Command of Sarno. The knife in question was found in the possession of a criminal resident in the municipality of Frignano, already known to the Police Force for having committed predatory crimes and crimes against property.

The soldiers of the Trentola Ducenta Carabinieri Station, of the Frignano Carabinieri Station and personnel of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Aversa Company, during a territorial control service in the municipalities of the Aversa area, seized inside a room used as a garage , in the Municipality of Trentola Ducenta, a pistol and 32 7.65 caliber shots, as well as 0.55 grams of marijuana hidden inside a glass jar. Investigations are still underway aimed at tracing the owner of the weapon and the seized narcotic.
