No vax Veronica Wolski dies of Covid-19. Her fans asked for her to be treated with ivermectin
Representative of the QAnon conspiracy theory. No Mask. Convinced No Vax. This is how the American television Msnbc described Veronica Wolski, a woman from Chicago who became famous in the denialist environment for having documented her protests through social media.
In recent weeks, Wolski had contracted Covid and now the news of his death has also been confirmed by the facility where the woman had been hospitalized.
In a statement, Amita Health Resurrection Medical Center said: “We can confirm that this patient passed away early this morning. We will not be providing any additional comment on this patient or topic.”
Wolski, 64, had become famous for a series of videos posted from a Chicago bridge, from which she often posted messages addressed to cars passing under the bridge. Her hospitalization was also followed from a distance by anti-vax activists.
In fact, it was Lin Wood, one of the most influential theorists of the QAnon conspiracy, who gave them the news. He had also asked his 814 thousand followers on Telegram to call the hospital where Wolski was hospitalized to ask the doctors to treat her with ivermectin. An appeal that had caused a storm of phone calls.
