Available from today, Thursday September 16, on digital platforms and in all digital stores "Emily was studying” (Maninalto!), the new EP by the singer-songwriter Emily Breva.
"It is a work of an autobiographical nature. – declares Emily Breva – in which I wanted to lay myself bare in what was my past and what is my present. There are 6 songs to which I wanted to give an electronic sound, arranged together with the maestro Max Zanotti who was able to capture the soul of the ep".
The release of the EP is accompanied by the new single “Emily Studiava”, the title track of the EP, which comes after the previous “I didn't see anything”. The song, characterized by pop-swing sounds, may seem light at first sight but in reality it reveals a profound meaning.
There are people who often judge others without knowing what that particular person is actually experiencing. Being different should create a feeling of inclusion even within the school and lay the foundations for alternative teaching. It has also been shown that students with high abilities, especially artistic ones, but coming from disadvantaged families, have a more complicated career than those with a higher social status. No one has the right to judge the future and life of someone else!
"I chose this song because, in addition to being the title track of the EP, it reflects me a lot – says Emily – at school I was the typical girl who was a bit in the clouds, who could sometimes give the impression of being distracted and therefore I was judged badly by some teachers. In reality I had a strong need for life and art that took up my time but I tried as much as possible to keep up with all the subjects, even if math... I never liked it! I hope that this song reaches more people and is an excuse to listen to the entire work”.
