Available from today, Thursday 16 September , on digital platforms and in all digital stores “ Emily studiava ” (Maninalto!), the new EP by singer-songwriter Emily Breva.
" It's an autobiographical work ," says Emily Breva, " in which I wanted to lay myself bare, both my past and my present. There are six songs to which I wanted to give an electronic sound, arranged together with maestro Max Zanotti, who was able to capture the soul of the EP ."
Accompanying the release of the EP is the new single "Emily Studiava," the EP's title track, which follows the previous " Io non ho visto niente ." The song, characterized by a pop-swing sound, may seem light-hearted at first glance, but in reality reveals a profound meaning.
There are people who often judge others without knowing what that particular person is actually experiencing. Being different should create a feeling of inclusion even within the school and lay the foundations for alternative teaching. It has also been shown that students with high abilities, especially artistic ones, but coming from disadvantaged families, have a more complicated career than those with a higher social status. No one has the right to judge the future and life of someone else!
“ I chose this song because, besides being the title track of the EP, it reflects me a lot, ” Emily states. “ At school, I was the typical girl who was a bit lost in thought, who could sometimes give the impression of being distracted, and therefore I was judged badly by some teachers. In reality, I had a strong need for life and art that took up my time, but I tried as much as possible to keep up with all the subjects, even if math… I never liked it! I hope this song reaches more people and is an excuse to listen to the entire work . ”
