Fabio Cannavaro promotes Napoli: the former defender, world champion with the national team in 2006, also spoke to Sky Sport about Spalletti's Azzurri, fresh from six victories in six league games.
“It's a long season, anything can happen – Cannavaro said -. Napoli has changed coach, the club has a different experience compared to last year but there will certainly be unforeseen events, suspensions or injuries, and the Africa Cup that will take away a lot of energy. But I am convinced that he will do well: Spalletti is a guarantee, he has coached in important places and knows how to win. I would easily give him the keys to the championship”.
“Osimhen? He is demonstrating great qualities – Cannavaro added speaking about the Nigerian's golden moment -. He makes the department by himself and keeps the entire defense busy with his movements without the ball. How would I have marked him? With me he certainly wouldn't have touched the ball", he added jokingly.

And up Anguissa: “It was a great low-cost deal: he does important work especially for the defense and is demonstrating incredible value.”

The winter transfer window is heating up, and the league's top clubs are starting to move forward, with deals already completed and negotiations promising sparks. In Milan, it was Niclas Füllkrug's medical, having arrived from West Ham on a free loan until the end of the season. At AC Milan, however, it's also time to say goodbye: after nearly a thousand days without playing, Divock Origi has terminated his contract. The Belgian, out of the project since the summer of 2024, continued to earn a significant salary for the club.
Questions remain over the future of Christopher Nkunku, bought from Chelsea for €37 million and still unable to make an impact despite increased use in recent matches.
