Femicide, the slaughter continues: Sonia and Giusy stabbed to death

Giuseppina and Sonia united by the same tragic fate: killed by their husbands with stabs.

The massacre of feminicides continues in Italy. Today two murders, one in the province of Brescia, the other in the province of Cosenza.

In Agnosine, in the Brescia area, the victim is Giuseppina Di Luca, 46 years old, mother of two daughters aged 21 and 24. She was killed by her ex-husband, from whom she had separated for about a month. The murderer, Paolo Vecchia, 52, waited for her on the stairs of the building – near the Town Hall – where the woman had moved after the separation and he hit her about ten times with a switchblade.

He then got out and turned himself in to the Carabinieri at the Sabbio Chiese station. The military recovered the weapons probably used in the crime, a switchblade and a dagger. The man was arrested on charges of aggravated murder.

A few hours after the murder of Agnesina, another mother was killed in the same way in Fagnano Castello in the province of Cosenza.

Same tragic scenario and the same methods of execution in Fagnano Castello, in the province of Cosenza. The victim is Sonia Lattari, 43 years old, killed in front of her children at the height of an argument by her partner Giuseppe Servidio, 52 years old.  The man lunged at his partner with a knife and killed her with several stabs. The couple's two children were present at home at the time of the tragedy.

Servidio did not leave after the incident. The Carabinieri arrested him  traced near property: declared in a state of fermo was taken to the barracks for questioning by the magistrate of the Cosenza Public Prosecutor's Office.
