Femicide in Vicenza, Rita Amenze's husband arrested

The couple's house, in Villaga, in the Vicenza area, where the two lived, was under constant surveillance, surrounded by the Carabinieri. And it is there that this morning, having retraced his steps, Pellizzari found them waiting for him. Unarmed and without putting up resistance, the man was stopped and taken to the barracks. The 61-year-old availed himself of the right to remain silent during the interrogation, which lasted 4 hours, with the deputy prosecutors of the Vicenza Public Prosecutor's Office Hans Roderich Blattner and Angelo Parisi, assisted by his trusted lawyer Michele Albertazzi. The man was placed under arrest on suspicion of aggravated murder, illegal possession of a weapon, aggravated robbery and aggravated threat and after the formal procedures he was taken to the prison in Vicenza. Rita Amenze had interrupted their cohabitation for some time, at least a week, according to what was reconstructed by the investigators, since she had returned from Nigeria, where she had spent the summer together with her children from a previous relationship. She had thus decided to put an end to the story with the man she had married, but who took her life, firing 4 shots at point-blank range and without uttering a single word.
