The jury, composed of independent booksellers, recognized the extraordinary value of the text, but given the original style of the work not possible to classify in any of the categories provided, decided to award a Special Award of the Stall a Filippo Cannizzo for the book "Tears of Kindness: On the Trail of Beauty for a Human (Re)generation".
In the opinion of the booksellers present in the jury, sensitive and attentive interpreters of the vast public of readers, the book by the philosopher Filippo Cannizzo, published three years after the sensational editorial success of “Crumbs of beauty”, represents a unique piece in the Italian literary panorama of recent years thanks to which it has achieved clear success in terms of merit and public recognition.
"Tears of Kindness" is a story set in the heart of Italy and inspired by the desire to identify the potential for human regeneration inherent in every corner of our country.

The author's words are a cry of hope for Italy, a stimulus not to give up even in moments when every belief and certainty seems to crumble. "Tears of Kindness: On the Trail of Beauty for a Human (Re)generation" is a book dedicated to those who, starting from their own municipality, from the fragment of Italian territory in which they live, from the piece of the world that surrounds them—large city or small village, coastal or mountainous area, island or countryside—want to build another possible future.
Filippo Cannizzo is a philosopher and university researcher. He taught in Bologna, Naples, Rome and, after collaborating with the Luigi Sturzo Institute and the Ugo Spirito Foundation, he directed the ICC Castelli. Among the promoters of the international event “The Economy of Francesco”, he was a tutor at the “XIII UNESCO Creative Cities Conference Fabriano 2019” and coordinated the initiatives of ResiliArt Italy: Bellezza di Unesco.
The book, published by GSM-Punto Rosso (and published simultaneously in Italy, Albania, and Switzerland), is completely eco-sustainable as it is the first to be printed entirely from hemp and recycled paper in our country. A promotional tour for the book began a few weeks ago, with the author presenting "Tears of Kindness" at events throughout the Italian peninsula, from north to south, including the islands.
