The “Award of Prizes", the contest that brings together the winners of Italian songwriting competitions named after Italian artists. The event is for Saturday October 2 al Masini Theatre of Faenza, as always within the Mei – Independent Labels Meeting, scheduled this year from 1 to 3 October.
He will be the guest of the evening Francesco Bianconi, leader of the Construction site, writer, author of songs for various artists. He will present some songs from “Forever“, his first solo album, for which he will receive a special award from the Mei. In this regard he declared: “Heartfelt thanks to Mei for awarding Forever. It's an important album for me, the first in my name, the first in which I managed to find a sincerity and freedom of expression that I hope to maintain forever".
During the evening there will also be performances Andrea Chimenti, pioneer of the independent music scene, with some preview tracks from his new album “Il deserto la notte il mare”, and Edoardo De Angelis, awarded by the MEI for the 50 years of “Lella”.

Competing in the Prize of Prizes this year will be: Asteria (for the Bindi Prize), Marta Frigo (for the Luttazzi Prize), Nervi (for the Buscaglione Prize), Monica Sannino (for the Bianca d'Aponte Prize), Jamila (for the De André Prize), Marcello Graduato (for the Pigro – Ivan Graziani Prize), Andrea Santelli (for the Je so' pazzo Prize, dedicated to Pino Daniele).
As always, each participant will perform one of their own songs and a cover of a prominent Italian musician, in a sort of passing of the baton. A large and prestigious jury of journalists and industry professionals will select the winner, who will receive a plaque and the opportunity to perform at "EdicolAcustica" in Grosseto and Lu Mbroia in Corigliano d'Otranto (in collaboration with Coolclub). Other bonuses are being finalized.
