April frosts, Coldiretti Campania: all the municipalities where the state of calamity has been recognized

Coldiretti Campania. The Ministry of Agricultural Policies has recognized the exceptional nature of agricultural production caused by the frosts that hit large areas of Campania in the period 7-9 April 2021.

This is communicated by Coldiretti Campania, which pushed for the state of calamity, making its territorial technical structures available to the Region to collect information useful for the state of calamity. The areas affected touch four areas. Area 1 of Caserta includes the Municipalities of Capua, Bellona, ​​Pastorano, Vitulazio for damaged crops of industrial tomatoes, peaches, apricots, plums, nectarines, cherries, and kiwis.

For area 2 of Caserta the municipalities involved are Aversa, Carinaro, Casaluce, Cesa, Lusciano, San Marcellino, Teverola, Trentola Ducenta, Villa Di Briano for damage to peach, apricot, plum, nectarine trees. Area 3 of Caserta includes the territories of Alvignano, Baia and Latina, Caiazzo, Castel Campagnano, Castel di Sasso, Dragoni, Formicola, Liberi, Piana di Monte Verna, Pontelatone, Rocchetta and Croce, Ruviano for damage to vines, apples, peaches, apricots, plums, kiwis, nectarines, cherries. For the Naples area, the following municipalities are involved: Afragola, Arzano, Bacoli, Caivano, Calvizzano, Cardito, Casalnuovo Di Napoli, Casandrino, Casavatore, Casoria, Crispano, Frattamaggiore, Frattaminore, Giugliano In Campania, Grumo Nevano, Marano di Napoli, Melito di Napoli, Monte di Procida, Mugnano di Napoli, Pozzuoli, Qualiano, Quarto, Sant'Antimo, Villaricca for damage to apple, pear, peach, nectarine, apricot, cherry, plum, vine and tomato crops.

Agricultural businesses in the municipalities indicated, which have suffered damage to production and crops, can submit a request for aid no later than October 14, drawn up on a specific form and according to the instructions given in the MIPAF circular. To fill out the application, farmers can receive adequate assistance at the agricultural assistance centers of Coldiretti in Naples and Caserta.
