Gkn, the company: we revoke the dismissal procedure
In relation to the sentence, by the Ordinary Court of Florence, "to the 'revocation' of the letter of opening of the procedure pursuant to articles 24 and 4 of Law no. 223/1991, today's meeting at Your Honourable Ministry remains absorbed in the execution of the provision, which we hereby immediately execute, revoking the aforementioned procedure (without this being considered acquiescence and with the widest reservation of appeal)".
This was communicated by the CEO of GKN Driveline, in a letter sent to the Ministries of Labor and Economic Development, trade unions and institutions.
“It is obviously understood – we read in the letter – that all the orders contained in this provision will also be implemented”.
"There is now a court ruling on Gkn, this means that Italy is not a Wild West, but the rules are there and everyone must respect them. This is the first step to re-establish an orderly system of things”. This was stated in Caserta by the Minister of Economic Development Giancarlo Giorgetti, who commented on the ruling of the labor court of Florence that revoked the dismissals ordered by the company GKN for anti-union behavior.
