Two teams of firefighters from the Provincial Command of Caserta intervened to put out the flames. Investigations are underway to verify the nature of the fires.
"We will need to understand whether there was the hand of some arsonist or whether the flames were triggered by irresponsible or distracted behavior. What is certain, however, is that the continuous fires are seriously damaging our territory, on an environmental, economic and landscape level and with regards to the health of citizens and this is why we are asking for a prevention plan with constant monitoring of the areas at risk. We have also asked Arpac to justify the air quality in the Caserta area where the recent fires have occurred.”- commented Borrelli.
