Juan Jesus: “Naples is my revenge”

“Napoli is my revenge, I can give a lot to this team”. 

This is how the Neapolitan defender Juan Jesus describes his feelings after his first few weeks in blue. “The group welcomed me very well, I knew some of the players from opponents, here they made me feel at home straight away”, the Brazilian explained to the microphones of Radio Kiss Naples.

“Spalletti is a coach of great depth and has a relationship with the players like a father. He knows how to give a lot of serenity to the team and knows what he wants. He always manages to get the most out of his men and I am very happy to be able to work with him again”.

On his last period at Roma, he declared: "I don't know why I didn't play much, honestly I wasn't injured, it was a technical choice, but I'm not against anyone. Those who know me know my professionalism, I train with a lot of commitment and my career testifies to it. Every time I played I was always up to par, especially out of respect for my teammates".

“Can I be a defensive wildcard for Spalletti? I have always played in various roles in defense. It will not be different here, for me Napoli is a revenge because I want to show my value after a period in which I was a bit on the sidelines. I have great defenders at my side. If I think about the strength of Kouibaly, a champion both as a player and as a leader”, he continued. Against the Juventus “it's a very heartfelt and important match, you can also feel it in the atmosphere of the city”, the defender underlined.
