New and encouraging signs for Campania exports, which returns to the center of the economic debate for the successes of local excellences on foreign markets.
Leading the internationalization of small and medium-sized businesses in the area is the agri-food sector, which has once again proven to be an important driving force for increasing sales abroad.
This is demonstrated by the numbers reported by the director of the Intesa San Paolo Economic Studies Center, Gregorio De Felice, who underlined how among the excellences of Made in Italy, Mozzarella Dop has grown in volume by over 22% in a short time. The economist in his comments recalled how production in the last 5 years has gone from 41.295 to 50.677 tons, a production growth made possible by an exponential increase in exports, which last year alone rose by 256%.
This performance affects the entire agri-food sector, which has always been considered one of the most popular sectors in foreign markets, according to industry reviews. This is demonstrated by the data reported by Co.Mark Spa, a company of the Tinexta Group specialized in internationalization services for businesses: the company review, based on Ice data, highlights the excellent performance of Italian fruit and vegetable exports in the last four years in France, Austria, Spain and Poland, confirming how Made in Italy represents an important lever for those who want to invest abroad.
Fruits and vegetables, potatoes and citrus fruits exported to foreign markets have marked a real boom in the fruit and vegetable sector. In particular, CoMark's opinions underline how Germany is an excellent basin for the sale of the Bel Paese's products abroad, given that it alone has imported almost half of Italian food.

The comments on the presentation of the strategic plan for SMEs highlight the main guidelines that have allowed small businesses in the area to innovate, from communication to training to e-commerce and subsidized finance.
The picture described by Co mark is confirmed by the data relating to exports from the districts of Southern Italy: exports seem to have benefited in particular from the good performance of businesses in Campania, for which there was an increase in exports especially in the agri-food sector of Naples (+38,6%), thus confirming the positive opinions on the attractive force that local products continue to exert on world markets.
Eurostat data show a 19,8% increase in Italy's exports. Equally encouraging, according to the Foreign Minister's comments, are the second-quarter data released by Istat, which show annual export growth of 41.9%.
In this scenario, the results of Campania remain especially appreciable, a region that with 11,5 billion euros of exports confirms itself once again as the first among those of the South: a goal that gives hope for a total recovery for the entire economy of the territory.
