Hi Dubai & Hi Emirates di Benedetta Paravia (Graus Edizioni, pp. 128) is a photographic book that tells the story of the passion that characterized the work of the interviews and the filming of the cross-media series Hi Emirates, composed of the first part Hi Dubai and from the second Hi Emirates.
The series tells the stories of contemporary women who have fulfilled their lives and work in the United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras al Khaimah, Ajman and Umm al Quwain.
The series, conceived by Benedetta Paravia in 2017 - the UAE's "year of generosity" - was subsequently produced, from 2018 to 2020, to show the pluralist spirit of a country that offers dignity and respect to a diverse and multicultural population, highlighting the role of women in an authentic Islamic nation. Author and producer Paravia presents instances of hospitality, generosity and inclusiveness of a country, such as the UAE, which is shaping the path to a more cohesive and harmonious society, enhancing the role of women.
Paravia invites you to visit and live in the UAE through the eyes of its successful and diverse protagonists who look to the future with optimism. This year, on the occasion of the Expo and the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates, the book is seen as a true tribute from Italy to the friendly country, with the testimonies of the Italian Ambassador Nicola Lener and the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi Ida Zilio Grandi.
