Naples Metro Line 6: Torretta Area Regeneration Project Approved
The City Council of Naples, on the proposal of Deputy Mayor Carmine Piscopo, has approved the redevelopment project for the Largo Torretta area, annexed to the external arrangement of Line 6 of the Naples Metro.
The meeting of the Neapolitan executive was chaired at Palazzo San Giacomo by the mayor Luigi de Magistris.
The project, which has taken on board the requests made by the citizens of the neighborhood, includes the creation of a large pedestrian area, characterized by green flowerbeds, new street furniture, a new bus stop facing via Giordano Bruno, new parking spaces for motorcycles and cars, as well as a new lighting system.
The cost of the works is €1.965.083,95 and the estimated duration of the works is 5 months.
“The project approved today – declares Piscopo – completes the important redevelopment project of Piazza della Repubblica and the entire Riviera di Chiaia area, carried out in the larger overall project of line 6 of the Naples Metro”.
