The company The Attic Theatre of the Orco presents, Friday 17 e Saturday September 18 al Village of Casertavecchia at 19.00 pm, the XNUMXth Edition of the event The Human Comedy – The Decameron – in the places of Pasolini, medieval festival and theatrical incursions inspired by the tales of Giovanni Boccaccio, for the dramaturgy of Roberta Sandias and the mise en espace by Maurizio Azzurro.
The event re-proposes the Decameron, in a theatrical adaptation of selected short stories – suitable for an audience of all ages –, privileging those of a comic-popular nature, which are well suited to a travelling staging, in the spirit of the popular “station” theatre typical of medieval performances.
The natural backdrop for the event will be the Borgo di Casertavecchia, which was already used by Pier Paolo Pasolini in 1971 as the location for some episodes of his film Decameron. Actors and musicians will accompany the audience through the streets of the Borgo, where, among the most evocative views, they will witness the adventures of some of the most famous characters from Boccaccio's novels: Fra Cipolla, Peronella and the Botte, Lisabetta da Messina and Masetto da Lamporecchio, Chichibio and the crane, Federigo degli Alberighi, to name just a few.
As per the latest anti-Covid provisions, to access the events it is necessary to show the Green Pass or the negative result of a swab carried out in the previous 48 hours.
