Saiello: “Over 10 million euros to adapt and restore sports facilities in the municipalities of Campania and gyms in many schools in the region. This is the amount allocated to the institutes of our region under the “Sport and Suburbs” call, established by the Government to carry out construction work in the field of sports facilities.
A fundamental initiative in a region like ours, second to last in the country for gyms in schools and where sport, especially in many difficult situations, represents a healthy protection of legality. Suffice it to say that only 25% of our schools are equipped with them, even though we have the national record for childhood obesity.
The recipients of the funding in Campania – Saiello reveals – are the municipalities of Anacapri (700.000), Scisciano (700.000), Pozzuoli (691.000), Palma Campania (700.000), Ischia (627.807), Agerola (454.000), Grumo Nevano (700.000), Torre Annunziata (699.872), Sorrento (613.967), Casoria (700.000), Lacco Ameno (549.417), Qualiano (552.000), Casoria (699.994), and sports organizations such as the Club Sportivo Universitario Napoli 258.877), the Centro Ester (680.306) and Mascalzone Latino Sailing Team (387.267)”.
The regional councilor of the 5 Star Movement and president of the Special Innovation Commission Gennaro announced it Saiello.
“I thank the former Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora, who strongly supported this measure, thanks to which we can guarantee a presence of legality in many disadvantaged areas and give our young people the opportunity to grow through the values of sport”.
