Maddaloni, Pietro Vittoria, a 47-year-old worker from the Edil San Felice di Nola company, died this morning after being hit by a truck while carrying out work on the A14 Bologna-Taranto motorway, near the San Severo toll booth.
The 47-year-old man, originally from Maddaloni, was struck by a truck driver from Brindisi. He stopped to help the worker immediately after hitting him with his truck. Spesal officers also attended the scene of the accident to verify the worker's employment status, which—according to reports—appears to be legally employed. The investigation is being handled by the traffic police.

This is according to a statement from Autostrade per l'Italia, commenting on the death of a 47-year-old worker from Maddaloni who died today on the A14 motorway near San Severo (Foggia) after being struck by a heavy vehicle. The victim, an employee of a company in Nola (Naples), was reportedly crushed between the truck that struck him and the company's truck.
