Maradona: the myth, the love and the rebirth of Naples
Biazzo presents his book “60 dd – after Diego”, with Bruscolotti, Diego Junior, Enzo De Caro and San Giorgio Calcio
San Giorgio. Maradona, the myth, the love and the rebirth of Naples thanks to an undisputed legend of football. There are all these elements in the volume by Rai journalist Salvatore Biazzo that will be presented on Friday 24 September, at 18.30:XNUMX, in the Padre Alagi Library, in Villa Bruno.
The event, desired by Mayor Giorgio Zinno and organized with the Councilor for Culture Pietro De Martino, will be more than a presentation, as Salvatore Biazzo will talk about Maradona through images and sounds that tell unpublished anecdotes about his life and career, in a Naples bewitched by the Pibe De Oro. In fact, videos and images will be projected, commented live by Giuseppe Bruscolotti, another pillar of Naples in those years and a great friend of Maradona and by the actor Enzo De Caro.
Maradona's son, Diego Armando Maradona Junior, is expected to attend. The San Giorgio Calcio team will also be present, accompanied by the Sports Councilor, Maria Tarallo.
The event will finally be enriched by the participation of Peppe Avolio, a well-known cartoonist from San Giorgio, author of the drawings contained in Biazzo's volume and of hundreds of caricatures related to Maradona and the history of Neapolitan football, up to the present day. The presentation of the book "60 dD - Dopo Diego" will be introduced by the journalist Saverio Russo.
“We are thrilled to host events like this – said Mayor Giorgio Zinno – Maradona is an everlasting myth and San Giorgio a Cremano is the city of culture. Two elements that make this presentation an important literary and sporting event. De Laurentiis: "Football is in the hands of the lords, that's how we destroy. National teams, TV, and fixtures: we need a revolution."
Aurelio De Laurentiis lifts the veil on an Italian football he calls "medieval," denouncing power mechanisms that stifle modernization and put clubs and fans at risk, while calling for a revolution that restores clubs' decision-making power over their players and reforms. Maradona, his ex-wife, and his daughters in court: "Defamed by unfounded accusations from their former manager."
In Rome, in the courtroom of the trial against former manager Stefano Ceci for aggravated defamation, a new chapter has unfolded in the long and painful story that continues to revolve around the name of Diego Armando Maradona. The champion's ex-wife, Claudia Villafañe, and daughters Dalma and Giannina explained to the judge the weight of Ceci's words in the October 30, 2021, interview, given amid the controversy surrounding the Pibe de Oro's image rights.
According to the three women, those statements are not only inaccurate, but damaging, "terrible," capable of reopening wounds that have never stopped bleeding. Villafañe, assisted by lawyer Francesco Caroleo Grimaldi, explained how any statement about her is immediately reverberated around the world, amplifying the suffering and casting a shadow over the role of family in the champion's life. She firmly rejected the idea of having stolen memorabilia belonging to Maradona, recalling that, after the separation, those objects remained in his home and that an Argentine judge recognized them as his own.
