At MAVV, the 'Wine Art Contest' and 'GreenPrix' awards ceremony

Al Galoppatoio of Palace of Portici will be held, Thursday September 30, at 15 pm, the award ceremony of the “Wine Art Contest" he was born in "GreenPrix".

The two competitions launched by the MAVV, the 'Museum of Art, Wine and Vine', dedicated to art, culture, innovation and sustainability of the wine supply chain, wine & food, wine tourism and the creative industry, have seen significant participation success, also on an international scale.

Supported, among others, by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies and the Campania Region, the two initiatives are aimed at involving, enhancing and promoting young artistic talents and new entrepreneurs for the innovation of the wine supply chain. Honorary President Minister Stefano Patuanelli.

Il Wine Art Contest, a competition of artistic creativity inspired by the world of wine, has seen the candidacy of over two hundred young artists, not only Italian, well beyond the threshold initially set at 120 participants. Of the 25 pre-selected finalists (19 for the visual arts and 6 for the performing arts), a jury of well-known names from the Italian cultural and artistic scene will choose three works to award. Checks and recognitions will also be awarded to the second and third place winners, as well as special prizes (song, photography and video, painting). The selected artists will be involved in workshops and events of the MAVV Wine Art Museum and the partners of the competition.

Ten candidates selected for the GreenPrix, an award given to young companies and innovative startups operating in the wine sector that stand out for new and competitive ideas and projects.

The event will be held in the Galoppatoio of the Royal Palace of Portici, granted by Department of Agriculture of Federico II, led by director Danilo Ercolini, in collaboration with the municipal administration of Portici.

With the greeting of the minister Stefano Patuanelli and the actress Marisa Laurito, who have personally supported the creation of the contest and the prize from the very beginning, on this occasion the MAVV In Vino Veritas and Dea Vite awards will also be presented, now in their third edition, conferred to personalities from the scientific, academic, social and entertainment worlds for their merits.

The event will be presented by Noemi Gherrero, with artistic direction curated by Carmine Aymone, Claudio Niola and Luciano Ruotolo.

Following, at 20:45 pm, in the area outside the Galoppatoio, the Wine Art Fest, an evening enlivened by the concert of an international jazz band, opened by a tasting of excellent local wines, curated by professional sommeliers of the AIS.
