Miasmas in Giuglianese, the Prosecutor's Office opens an investigation and Arpac starts a Telegram channel for citizens' reports
The inconveniences for residents of the Giuglianese area have been going on for two months now, dealing with an environmental emergency that led thousands of citizens from the neighboring province of Caserta to take to the streets to protest last Sunday.
Inconveniences that have also appeared in recent evenings in the form of miasmas that make the air unbreathable and make life impossible. Social media are the main sounding board for citizens' complaints who, in a pounding drum, have started to update on the situation and report nauseating odors that have as their main consequence an existence barricaded at home.
The cause of the nauseating smell has not yet been identified and perhaps the checks by Arpac and monitoring also through drones will clarify where the unbearable miasmas come from. In the meantime, the Prosecutor's Office of Naples North competent for the territory, has started an investigation.
The Public Prosecutor's Office headed by Maria Antonietta Troncone has opened an investigation file based on the Arpac data. The hope is that by joining forces of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Environmental Agency and the Carabinieri of the Noe, we will at least be able to identify the causes.
To investigate further, Arpac created a Telegram channel (“ArpacColorBot”) to allow citizens to report the presence of bad smells.
